When people are convicted of a DUI for the first time in Colorado, the court-related Colorado DUI costs they will typically have to cover include (but may not be limited to):

  • First conviction fines – These can range from about $600 to $1,000 and, generally, are about $800.
  • Additional court fees – These are usually about $50 or so.
  • Probationary service fees – These can be between $600 and $1,200.
  • BAC testing fees – These can be between $30 and $150.
  • Court fees related to contributing to the victims’ compensation funds – These can range from about $125 to $175, depending on the county in which the conviction occurs.

If people end up going to jail after a DUI arrest, they can also have additional jail costs, which can range from about $30 to $100 (depending on how long people are incarcerated).

This means that, when all is said and done, the court Colorado DUI costs alone can total between $1,400 and $2,800.
